The church in Karlshamn is called Karl Gustav's church after king Karl X Gustav. The church was built 1680-1702. It is placed north of the town square and is a quite dominating feature of the townscape. The church is formed as a cross with a tower over the middle. In the east there is a later built vestry formed as and apse. The church is built by granite and brick. It has entrances both in the south, west and north. The church is built in the usual way that churches formed as crosses were in Sweden during the Sweden's period as a great power. The church is not formed as an equilateral cross, the north and south of the cross arms are considerably longer than the east and the west.

You can visit the church and pre-recorded guided tours are available.
