The Stonemason Museum in Vånevik is a living outdoor museum. It is situated in two places. At Ångkransbrottet you can see the traces of the stonemason era with railways and quarries. A stonemasonry has also been recreate here with stonemason's shed, smithy and stone polisher's workshop. At the outdoor museum at Södra kajen (the southern quay) you can see how the stone was shipped. Here is also an exhibition building that describes the stone operations in Vånevik in images and texts. In "Kasernen (the barrack)" there is also a museum apartment. In addition the area also offers 22 kilometres of hiking trails and a rich birdlife and flora.
